Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Workings collects, why, and what you can do about it. Workings is run by Glaze Workings in Nigeria ("we", "us"). It covers the website glazeworkings.com and the web app at app.glazeworkings.com.

What we collect

When you create an account

• Your name, email address and password. We store the password only in scrambled (hashed) form.
• If you sign in with Google: your Google account's name, email address and a Google account ID. We never get your Google password.
• Optional details you add for your quotes: phone number, company name, address, logo, and the bank account name, number and bank you want printed on your quotes.

When you use the app

• Your projects: window types, sizes, quantities, labels, and the material, cutting and glass lists worked out from them.
• Your quotes and prices: material prices you save, charges, profit settings and quote looks.
• Details about your clients that you type in: client name, phone number, site address and notes. Please only add a client's details if they are happy for you to use them for their quote.
• Feedback or complaints you send us, with the email address and phone number you give.
• Technical records needed to keep the service safe and working, such as error reports and sign-in attempts.

When you visit glazeworkings.com

• We count visits with our own analytics: the pages you view, the site that sent you, your screen size, device type, browser and operating system, and a random session number kept in your browser.
• We do not store your IP address. We mix it with your browser details and a code that changes every month, and keep only the scrambled result, so we can count unique visitors without knowing who they are.
• We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Why we use it

• To run your account and do the calculations and quotes you ask for.
• To send emails you need, such as checking your email address or resetting your password.
• To fix problems, prevent misuse and keep the service secure.
• To understand how the site and app are used so we can improve them.

We rely on your consent and on what is needed to give you the service you signed up for, as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 allows.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. These service providers help us run Workings and only handle your data on our instructions:

• Amazon Web Services: hosts the app's server, database and uploaded files such as logos. Their servers may be outside Nigeria.
• Vercel: hosts the web app.
• Our website hosting provider: hosts glazeworkings.com.
• Google: lets you sign in with your Google account.
• Sentry: receives error reports so we can fix crashes.
• An email delivery service: sends account emails.

Workings is free during beta. If paid plans start, a payment provider will process payments, and we will update this policy first.

When you send a quote on WhatsApp or by email, you choose who receives it, and that app's own privacy rules then apply.

We may share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and projects while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except anything we must keep by law. Website visit records are kept for 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your information, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use it. You can change most details in the app's Settings and delete your account there. For anything else, contact us. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Security

Connections to Workings are encrypted, passwords are stored hashed, and only people who need it can reach our systems. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

Workings is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email.
